This policy covers the Android app Offline Call Notes ("the app", package name
com.mimivision.offlinecallnotes). Visits to mimivision.de are covered by the website's own
privacy policy. The German version is the legally binding one; this English version is provided for
convenience.
mimivision GmbH, Reiherallee 47a, 13503 Berlin, Germany, represented by its managing director Andrei Darashenka. Email: customersupport@mimivision.de. Further details: the Impressum (legal notice) on mimivision.de.
Information about your phone calls (time, length, direction, phone number and, with your permission, the contact's name), call recordings that your phone's own Phone app saved and that you chose, the transcripts the app makes of them, the summaries, tasks and contact details that a language model on your phone writes from them, your typed and spoken notes, and the links to calendar events, tasks and contact notes the app added at your request.
Only on your phone. The app has no internet access. It does not send any of this data to us or to anyone else, and it contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting software. Speech and language models are delivered by Google Play; the app itself does not download anything. If you report a problem with an answer of the language model, the report stays in the app; an email to us is sent only if you send it from your email app.
The app only adds new events, tasks and contact notes, or appends text to the end of an event it created or of a contact's note. It never changes or deletes anything else.
Android's backup may carry the app's settings (theme, language, switches). Phone numbers, contact names, the calendar account, calls, notes, transcripts and recordings are not part of the backup.
You can delete any call in the app; this deletes its notes, transcript and the app's copy of the recording. Uninstalling the app deletes all of its data. Recorder files and entries in other apps stay where they are.
If you agreed in Android's settings to share usage and diagnostics data, Android sends crash reports and technical figures to Google. We see them in Google Play Console in aggregated form (device model, Android version, where in the program code the error occurred). They contain no phone numbers, names or speech.
You can email us, or let the app prepare an email about an answer of the language model, which you see and can change in your email app before sending. It contains your reason and comment, the app and Android version and the model used; the text of the answer only if you tick it. We use this information and your email address only to handle your request and to improve the app (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in handling requests and in the safety of the AI features) and delete them once the request is closed, unless the law requires us to keep them.
We pass on personal data only when the law requires it. We make no automated decisions, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. AI texts can contain mistakes; please check important content.
Whether you may record a call depends on your country; often everyone on the call must agree. The app does not record calls.
The app is not directed at children.
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). As we never receive the app's content, these rights concern only data from support requests; write to customersupport@mimivision.de. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR); the one responsible for us is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
We will publish changes of this policy on this page.
